Life is unpredictable. But, with Credit Protection, you can ensure your credits stay where they belong in case of a last-minute cancellation.

Keep Your Credits Where They Belong

With Credit Protection, your credits are returned to your account in the event of a last-minute cancellation. This means that you can cancel a reservation less than 15 days prior to check-in without losing your credits — even up to your check-in day.

Credit Protection can be added to new and existing reservations for $149. You’ll see that it’s automatically selected on the checkout page when you make a new reservation. If you wish to opt-out, simply uncheck it before continuing.

If you’d like to add Credit Protection to an existing reservation, you may do so online up until the cancel by date. Simply add it to your current reservation on the Upcoming Vacations tab on the dashboard of your owner website. When modifying a reservation, or adding additional nights to your stay, you may also have the opportunity to add Credit Protection in the event you did not purchase it for your original reservation.

Please note, Credit Protection can only be added to reservations booked with credits online or at the Vacation Planning Center. If a reservation is modified to use a rental payment option, Credit Protection will not cover any portion of the rental charges. If multiple payment options are used that include credits and rental, credit protection will only cover the credit portion if cancelled after the cancellation date.

  • What is Credit Protection?

    Credit Protection is a one-time purchase per reservation that allows you to avoid forfeiting credits should you need to cancel your reservation after the cancellation date.

  • Can I cancel my reservation the day of check in?

    With Credit Protection, you can cancel your reservation prior 11:59 p.m. PT on the day of check-in without losing your credits. 

    You have until the day of check-in to call the Vacation Planning Center or cancel online. If your check-in date falls on a holiday, you must call the day before the holiday to cancel your reservation with Credit Protection. You may also cancel online regardless if your check-in falls on a holiday. If you do not cancel by your check-in date, your credits will be forfeited per the program’s terms and conditions.

  • How do I add Credit Protection to my reservation?

    Credit Protection can be added online or over the phone when booking a new reservation. Credit Protection can also be added to an existing reservation up to the cancellation date.
